Over the years, clients have brought in personal photographs they wish to have elevated to a fine art piece. This particular client had taken a spectacular image on his iPhone while traveling in the Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. The image captured his son in the foreground being awed by the breathtaking view.

The process was quite involved; initially, the image was made into a 45" high resolution image and color corrections made. Then the surface of the water was penetrated to reveal the hidden colors below. Clouds were added to give more dimension and the son’s shirt changed to a more complementary color.

The client returned to discuss final details. Initially, he had discussed a monochromatic portrait as his medium; but upon seeing the brilliant colors, he decided to have a Master Oil Painting done. Given creative liberties, more color was added and a Monet inspired style was used to create this art piece. The final work was completed and a much cherished heirloom was given as a gift to the client’s mother.
